Texts

(1a) Luke 16:10-12

"Whoever is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much; and whoever is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much. 11 If then you have not been faithful with the dishonest wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to another, who will give you what is your own?

(1b) 2Clem 8:5b

For the Lord says in the Gospel, “If ye did not guard that which is small, who shall give you that which is great? For I tell you that he who is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in that which is much.” He means, then, this: Keep the flesh pure, and the seal of baptism undefiled, that we may obtain eternal life. [Sayings Parallel]

(2Clement 8:5 AF-T)
