Texts

(1) Mark 4:1-2

Again he began to teach beside the sea. Such a very large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the sea and sat there, while the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land.2 He began to teach them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them:

= Matt 13:1-3a

That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.2 Such great crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat there, while the whole crowd stood on the beach.3 And he told them many things in parables, saying:

(Matthew 13:1–3 GNT-T)

= Luke 8:4

When a great crowd gathered and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable:

(2) Luke 5:1-3

Once while Jesus was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God,2 he saw two boats there at the shore of the lake; the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.

(Luke 5:1–3 GNT-T)
