Texts

(1) Thomas 96

Jesus [said],

The Father's imperial rule is like [a] woman who took a little leaven,
[hid] it in dough, and made it into large loaves of bread.

Anyone here with two ears had better listen! [Complete Gospels]

No copies of this portion of Thomas survive in Greek. For the Coptic version see [Early Christian Writings]

(2) Luke 13:20-21

And again he said, "To what should I compare the kingdom of God?

It is like yeast that a woman took
and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened."

(Luke 13:20–21 GNT-T)

= Matt 13:33

He told them another parable:

"The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took
and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened."

(Matthew 13:33 GNT-T)
