(1) GThom 8:1

And he said, "The human one is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of little fish. 2 Among them the wise fisherman discovered a fine large fish. 3He threw all the little fish back into the sea, and easily chose the large fish. 4 Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!" [Complete Gospels]

No copies of this portion of Thomas survive in Greek. For the Coptic version see [Early Christian Writings]

(2) Matt 13:47-48

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and caught fish of every kind; 48 when it was full, they drew it ashore, sat down, and put the good into baskets but threw out the bad."

(Matthew 13:47–48 GNT-T)
